Knowing Yourself to Improve Your Relationships
Presented by Alene Snodgrass and Laura Harris

The key to building healthy relationships is being comfortable in your own skin. Do you know enough about your personality type to understand your strengths and weaknesses? Do you understand what aspects of your personality may be keeping you from having close relationships? If you said “yes” to either of these questions, then this session is for you.

This equipping session is designed to help you have a clear picture of your personality and understand how knowing yourself better will strengthen your relationships. Through this session you will come to understand and know the strengths of your personality. God wants to use you to make a difference in the world through your relationships.

Alene is a wife, mom, and ministry leader. Struggling to know more about the person God created her to be, she became increasingly aware of her self-doubt and insecurities. It wasn’t until she learned how uniquely God created her by being able to recognize her own personality type and strengths that she felt gifted enough to make a difference in the world.

Laura is a wife, mother, grandmother and employer. She has personally used her in-depth knowledge of personality types and spiritual gifts to make a difference in all of her relationships. As a student of personal growth, she has spent many hours studying how to take her God-given gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of those she touches.

Building Vibrant Relationships with Others
Presented by by Rochelle Roots, Tonya Webber and Shonda Savage-Whitworth

Do you desire to have vibrant relationships in your life? Are you overwhelmed by the demands placed on you by others? Do you feel discontent in your marriage or as a parent? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, then this session is for you.

This equipping session is for anyone who wants to truly enjoy their relationships with others more. Whether you’re married or single, a mom with young children or teens, or even an empty nester, this session will equip you with truths to help you to be thankful, genuine and healthy in your relationships with others.

Rochelle has been happily married for over 12 years and has two boys who are 6 and 7 years old. In addition to laboring in ministry, she currently works outside the home and knows the daily struggles that working moms face. She also knows that it is God who empowers her to be passionate about her relationships. “I have learned that my joy isn’t dependent on my husband or what I have or don’t have, but solely on Jesus. I love my two boys more than anything in this world, but I must love God first and foremost. As I seek God first, He fills me with more of Himself which enables me to be a better wife, mom, servant and friend each and every day!”

Tonya’s son just left the nest for college, but this single mom also shares her home with elderly parents. She has learned to daily rely on God’s strength and wisdom in juggling business relationships as full-time attorney and shareholder in a law firm and the personal dynamics of her three-generation household. She struggles still with finding the time to “have a life” and is eager to move into more ministry. Entering this new phase, she is filled with wonder. “God amazes me with His faithfulness. In retrospect, I clearly see how He has lead me through really difficult times and prepared my family for our shifting roles. I’m excited about the future He is unfolding, knowing that every single thing I learn and do is never wasted. The most important thing we do in these confusing times is share the true and unwavering hope that God is in all our circumstances, and all our circumstances are leading directly to the deepest desires of our hearts.”

Shonda has been married to Eldon for 21 years and still counting. They have two boys; one who is experiencing life as an adult and the other who is in middle school. As a stay-at-home mom, Shonda learns daily by God's grace how to foster her relationships in the home. "God uses my husband and children to teach me how to understand and relate to others better."
