You Don’t Know What I’ve Been Through!
Presented by Rochelle Roots and Lakendra Lewis
Do you feel like there’s a wall in your life keeping you from God’s best? Do you often find yourself not trusting God as much as you’d like? Do you feel like you’re not good enough for God to use? Then this session is for you.
This equipping session is for anyone who feels hindered from receiving God’s best or from walking in the full life because of their past. Whether it was poor personal choices made, the poor choices of others brought upon you or simply life’s disappointments, this session will help you to overcome these obstacles so you can experience ALL that God has for you. Learn how to change the way you see yourself and allow God to transform you from the inside out so you can be the woman God created you to be in Him. Be ready to face your frailties, fortify your faith and find greater freedom so you CAN live life to the fullest everyday!!
Rochelle has experienced her share of heartache and loss, but she has also experienced the love and truth of her heavenly Father that has helped her turn her stumbling blocks into steppingstones. “Life is unfair to all of us in some form or fashion, but we must choose to live intentionally and not passively. We are not to be the product of whatever life brings, but our lives should be the product of what our faith in Christ brings when we trust God with everything and I mean everything! It is then that we can truly live out His purposes and lead more fulfilling lives.”
Unworthiness, insecurity, fear, shame, loneliness, rejection…Lakendra’s journey has taken her through the gamut of each of these emotions. For most of her life, Lakendra grew up feeling alone and unloved. A reconciliation with Jesus Christ helped her to see that man’s accolades and approval could not fill what she realized was a spiritual void in her life. “For a long time, I thought God had abandoned me…that He didn’t love me. I was ashamed and thought I must have done something to deserve it or God would not have allowed such bad things to happen to me. I slowly began to see that He did love me and that He had a plan to restore my broken heart. God revealed to me that in His eyes, I was a beautiful diamond He has retrieved from the dirt and is now painstakingly restoring back to it’s original glory.”

I’m just not disciplined!
Presented by Alene Snodgrass and Kristen Reyna
Are you tired of hearing others say you should get closer to God? Have you ever wondered how you do that or how to find the time? Do you continually use excuses such as “I don’t have enough time”, “I don’t know what to study”, or “I don’t understand the Bible”?
If you long to have an intimate relationship with God but are struggling, this equipping session is for you. In this session, you will learn what is holding you back in your relationship with God. You will then learn how to plan your devotional time with the Lord. In other words, you will formulate your own action plan. Not just any plan, but a plan that works for YOU!
Join Alene and Kristen as they share fun and rewarding ways to perk up your love life with the Lord. By customizing your own personal growth plan you will become more disciplined and begin to live life to the fullest each and every day.
Due to Alene’s sanguine personality that thrives off of spontaneity and fun, she has battled the discipline needed to create an intimate relationship with God. She says, “My natural personality has not changed. I have just learned how to conquer myself. I learned that building fun and exciting practices into my daily time with the Lord were key. It took years for me to realize I could be disciplined in my daily devotional times.”
Due to Kristen’s melancholy personality that creates the desire for order and discipline, she has battled feeling insecure in her relationship with God. She says, “I always felt I had to do things the right way or not at all. So I chose not at all. I felt a deep relationship with God consisted of too many rules and laws. I was literally frozen in fear with the particulars of how to achieve that deep relationship through daily time with Him. Letting go of the “right” way opened the door to freedom and daily intimacy with Him.”

Don't Expect ME to Share About Jesus!
Presented by Tonya Webber and Laura Harri
Do you sometimes wish you had touched someone’s life with a word of encouragement or spoken God’s truth into his or her hurt and confusion? Do you question whether you’re hearing from God when it comes to sharing Christ with others? Do you think, “God really can’t use ME because I just don’t know enough?”
The sisterhood that Tonya and Laura share would never have come about if it had not been for their shared experiences in this area. You will come away encouraged to look for all the ways that God is calling you to move beyond yourself. You will be assured that without knowing any more than you know today, you are uniquely equipped to share the good news that Jesus died for all. You do not have to be a minister or a missionary. God will use YOU to make a difference in someone’s life right now!
Tonya knows the fear of sounding like a nut or looking stupid when you talk to others about God’s love, but says witnessing to others about Christ is not complicated. “I call it ‘easy evangelism.’ Anyone can do it! Sharing Christ effortlessly is the Christian’s daily adventure; you become addicted. It’s more about having a keen sense of hearing than a smooth set of words. The words will come naturally. We can ALL witness for Him; we ARE ready!”
Laura remembers specifically the relief she felt when she learned that each Christian was blessed with different spiritual gifts. Finally, she thought, ‘I have an excuse not to share Christ – I didn’t get the gift of evangelism.’ Learn how she went from being petrified about sharing her faith to praying for and craving opportunities to share Christ. “It’s not about having the ‘gift of evangelism’, but about being sensitive and real with others. We are all called to do this and we CAN.”
